Medical Assistant Diploma Courses – On-Campus
The Medical Assistant courses offered by Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA) enable you to gain practical learning experience as you discover the diversity a medical assistant career has to offer. UMA's Medical Assistant diploma incorporates skills and academics that not only prepare you for an entry-level healthcare job, but also help get you ready to obtain applicable credentials.
Throughout UMA's Medical Assistant program, you have an opportunity to develop clinical procedure skills, such as EKG, pharmacology and minor surgeries. The courses also encompass essential knowledge like anatomy and physiology, human relations, and administrative and business skills specifically for medical offices. In addition, you learn important business functions that apply to medical office settings, including critical-thinking and problem-solving, written and oral communications, medical ethics and industry-relevant terminology. You conclude the program with an externship in a local healthcare facility, where you apply the knowledge and skills you learned during your Medical Assistant courses.
