Two Programs in One
Are you looking for a career that gives you options? Do you want to become a healthcare professional with a variety of skills that employers demand? Ultimate Medical Academy’s new Basic X-Ray with Medical Office Procedures program may be just what you’re looking for. This focused, hands-on course can be completed in about a year and is designed to prepare you for two in-demand certifications at once.

Become a Flexible Healthcare Professional
UMA has placed graduates with over 800 healthcare employers and designs programs that train students to meet their needs. Many employers want workers who can contribute in different areas of the practice, and many students want extra skills to increase their employment opportunities and earning potential.

The Basic X-Ray with Medical Office Procedures program meets this need by preparing students to become flexible professionals who can seek employment in a wide range of healthcare facilities including diagnostic imaging centers, clinics and physician’s offices. Depending on where graduates find employment, typical duties may include:

  • Positioning patients for X-Rays and explaining procedures
  • Operation and maintenance of X-Ray equipment
  • Collecting samples from patients
  • Performing a variety of laboratory tests
  • Assisting in day-to-day patient care
  • Assisting with patient record keeping and office management

Basic X-Ray Technicians work primarily in diagnostic imaging centers, clinics and physician’s offices. Opportunities can also be found in some hospitals and other medical facilities.

Train for Two Valuable Certifications
At Ultimate Medical Academy, the Basic X-Ray with Medical Office Procedures program is a stimulating mix of classroom and laboratory training followed by an externship in a local healthcare facility. The program starts with UMA’s standard Basic X-Ray curriculum and adds extra training in clinical and office procedures. After earning your diploma from UMA, you’ll be prepared to pursue two certifications with ongoing support and preparation from the school:

  • Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (State of Florida)
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician
