Train for your career as a Basic X-Ray Technician in less than a year
At Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA), Basic X-Ray Technician training is a stimulating mix of classroom and laboratory training followed by a hands-on externship in a healthcare facility. You’ll learn to position patients, operate X-Ray equipment, perform laboratory procedures, and more before being placed into an externship at a local healthcare facility to put your training into action with real patients. The program is taught to American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) standards to ensure that students have a recognized, marketable education.

Upon graduation, you’ll receive a diploma and be qualified to take the Limited Scope of Practice in Radiography certification exam. UMA offers additional test preparation classes to ensure that students are ready for the exam. In the period leading up to graduation, UMA’s Career Services department will work with you to find job opportunities that fit your skills and goals, either at your externship location or with one of our many partners in the healthcare field.
