Help with your resume and job interview.

It’s okay if you’ve never written a resume, and it’s perfectly natural to be nervous ahead of a job interview. We understand. When it comes to your resume, our advisors are prepared to assist you in writing one you can be proud of. Our team will help you practice your interview skills by conducting mock interviews with you in-person or via webcam. We’ll even go over proper interview attire to help make sure your outfit is on point.

Opportunity awaits. We’ll do the groundwork.

We employ a team of more than 125 people who are committed to your success in starting a career. UMA has relationships with thousands of employers across the country, many of which give us feedback about what they’re looking for. This helps our team match grads with specific employment opportunities that may lead to interviews.

Externships: Real-world experience before you graduate.

In select UMA programs, you’ll have a UMA Externship Team working for you. We’ll reach out to our network of employers to find opportunities for you to work on-site alongside healthcare professionals. An externship can go a long way to help you get familiar with some of the types of tasks and responsibilities you may have in your new career field. In some cases, UMA externships can lead directly into positions with the participating organization post-graduation.

*Externships are not paid. Externships afford students the opportunity for hands-on training and a real-world experience.

Preparation for certification

Though certification may not be necessary in your field of choice, it may help you stand out among other job applicants. Graduation from some of our programs means you may be eligible to take one or more certification/licensure exams. In these programs, you’ll receive course preparation to sit for those exams. If you find yourself having trouble with any of your courses along the way, one-on-one academic support is offered for the additional attention you may need.
