If you like helping others, you’re in good company. Ultimate Medical Academy is serious about education. We’re serious about healthcare. We’re serious about careers. And we’re serious about having fun. That includes helping others and giving back to our community.
Making a positive impact in peoples’ lives is what UMA is all about. That includes proudly supporting a number of nonprofit organizations in our community through volunteer work, donations, services, scholarships and monetary contributions.
Community Spotlight: Pack-A-Snack – Many Tampa Bay area children participate in the school lunch program but lack access to nutritional meals on the weekend, so UMA participates in the Pack-A-Snack program. This nonprofit program provides nutritional snacks for children to take home on the weekends, including fresh produce. UMA currently supports four local schools through this program:
- Woodlawn Elementary
- Fairmont Elementary
- Melrose Elementary
- Campbell Park Elementary

- On “Farmers Market Day” we treat staff to a healthy helping of free local produce
- Yoga, Zumba and Piyo classes each week onsite
- Discounted gym memberships locally
- Smoking cessation programs
- Discounts to Weight Watchers with onsite meetings
- “Lunch and Learn” events covering topics such as stress management and ergonomics
- Discounts to Buccaneers football games (you can see the stadium from here!)
We like to break a sweat, and win. Fist bump. Our extensive list of intramural sports is a testament to our commitment to healthy living, creating energy and having fun.
- Dragon Boat Racing
- Basketball (four teams)
- Flag Football
Like to run? The Academy has been known to sponsor staff to participate in 5ks including mud runs and charitable events. Don’t forget to stretch.
