  • Does UMA offer Basic X-Ray Technician training?

UMA does not currently offer any training for basic x-ray technician. You might want to consider programs like Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions at our Clearwater Campus, or online training for Medical Administrative Assistant or Medical Office and Billing Specialist. We also have other programs available depending on your healthcare education interests.
  • Can I share my achievement on social media?

Yes! Take a photo of yourself with your certificate and share it on social media using the hashtag #UltimateMedicalAcademy.

  • Can I request to have a past certificate sent to me?

Unfortunately, only current certificates will be mailed out.
  • I should have qualified for an academic certificate, but I didn’t. What do I do?

Please contact Learner Services at 888-216-0544 or learnerservices@ultimatemedical.edu if you believe you qualified for an academic certificate but didn’t receive one, or if you believe you didn’t receive the correct certificate.

  • How long will it take for me to receive my certificate?

Please allow 4-6 weeks after your SAP Evaluation Point at which you earned an Academic Award. For questions, contact your advisor at 888-216-0544.

  • How often does UMA issue Honor Roll or Dean’s List certificates?

UMA Academic Awards are aligned with Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Evaluation Points. For most students, SAP Evaluation Points take place every 15 weeks. For more information, contact your advisor at 888-216-1667.

  • What are the start and end dates for the quarters?

The quarter ranges are as follows:

    • Quarter 1—Jan. 1 to March 31
    • Quarter 2—April 1 to June 30
    • Quarter 3—July 1 to Sept. 30
    • Quarter 4—Oct. 1 to Dec. 31

If your course ends after the end date of any quarter, that grade will be applied (if eligible) to the next quarter’s academic achievements. For example, if your course ends on April 3, you will be eligible for academic certificates from Quarter 2, even if most of your course began in Quarter 1.

  • What are the Dean’s List and Honor Roll requirements?

To qualify for an academic certificate, you must maintain a GPA of 4.00 for the Dean’s List and 3.50-3.99 for the Honor Roll. You also must have been a student throughout the entire quarter. If you enrolled halfway through a quarter, you will be eligible starting the next quarter.
