Rebecca Sarlo, Ph.D.

Dean of Institutional Effectiveness

Rebecca Sarlo is Dean of Institutional Effectiveness for Ultimate Medical Academy where she is responsible for leading institutional accreditation efforts, supporting data-based problem solving, and facilitating campus effectiveness planning. She also oversees multi-tiered student intervention services and implements institutional advisory boards.

Prior to joining UMA in April 2013, Sarlo worked for the Florida Department of Education where she directed secondary school improvement efforts and led the development and implementation of Florida’s Secondary School Problem Solving/Response to Intervention framework to improve Florida’s highest risk middle and high schools.

Sarlo is an author and sought after national speaker on topics including school improvement, student engagement, early warning systems and the delivery of effective multi-tiered student intervention services.

Sarlo has a Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of South Florida College of Education.
