Geordie Hyland is Executive Vice President at Ultimate Medical Academy where he is responsible for the delivery of online academic and campus services. He also oversees UMA's Continuing Medical Education (CME) division.
Hyland has helped to drive a number of strategic initiatives at UMA, including launching new online programs, a richer curriculum experience as well as additional academic support for students. He was also instrumental in the successful inaugural K-20 Education Summit in 2017 to advance the national conversation around student support.
Prior to joining UMA in October 2013, Hyland served as a Vice President at K12 Inc. He has also served in business development roles at Blackboard and Google. At Blackboard, Hyland launched and managed Blackboard Developmental Education, an online program focused on improving remedial higher education outcomes.
He holds a B.A. in English and American Literature and an M.B.A. from Harvard, as well as a M.Sc. in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from the London School of Economics.
