I am a single mother of two boys. For four years I was a child development teacher for the military. I never finished school after I had kids and all my life I worked my way up off of experience. I decided to go back to school because I want to be a better role model to my children. My boys’ father keeps going down the wrong path and I want my boys to see at least one of their parents going down the right path and showing them that anything is possible if you believe in yourself. I picked the medical field because I enjoy making people smile and giving great customer service. Helping people and seeing happiness enter their lives makes me feel good. I started working as an emergency room registrar while I am in school and so far I love what I do. Interacting with different patients is really interesting and fun. I am also gaining medical experience which makes me really excited to start a new career in my life. If it wasn’t for my children and my family supporting me every step of the way, I wouldn’t know where I would be. I feel like I finally achieved something in my life besides raising two boys by myself and I feel more confident to be this great role model that my boys deserve.
