I have come from such a long way, from being homeless moving from house to house, living with an abusive boyfriend, losing a child, and battling depression. It has been a very long road full of ups and downs. I am very thankful because God saw me through it and kept me so that I could tell my story. Since then I have met an amazing man who I love dearly, I have traveled the world been to places I’d never even dream of seeing, Belize, Honduras, and Cozumel Mexico. When I joined UMA it was one of the biggest decisions in my life. I was scared, nervous and almost didn’t continue on. But the staff at UMA was so wonderful that I felt it was my journey that I attend this school. Though I am an online student I feel as though I am right there on campus. I have successfully maintained a 4.0 since March of last year, I am the proud member of the Ambassador program and I am working on getting into the Alpha Beta Kappa honer society. I would recommend UMA to anyone who is thinking of going to school and furthering their education. They take away all the fear and help you to be comfortable during the transition. I feel more complete and I feel that the world is waiting for me. I feel as though it is my duty to inspire more and more women to stand up and go after what we want in life no matter who tells you that you are going to fail. Never give up. The staff is always there to help with any questions, comments or concerns. UMA is part of my family now and I am blessed to have them in my life.
