Since 1996, Mr. Friedman has served as managing attorney of Philadelphia Legal Assistance (PLA), a nonprofit corporation that provides free civil legal services to low-income individuals and families in Philadelphia. Darlyne Bailey, Ph.D.
A recognized leader in higher education, Dr. Bailey has served as an educator and administrator for several prominent institutions, while making numerous additional professional contributions. Currently a Dean and Professor at Bryn Mawr College, Dr. Bailey has previously had these responsibilities at Case Western Reserve University, the University of Minnesota, and Columbia University. Stephen Burghardt, Ph.D.
For more than 30 years, Dr. Burghardt has been a professor at the Hunter College (CUNY) School of Social Work, where he has focused on areas such as transformative leadership models and community-based action. A prolific author, researcher and an award-winning professor, Dr. Burghardt has also provided service to numerous editorial boards and professional societies. More ▸
Christopher Hawk, M.D.
Dr. Hawk is a board-certified family medicine physician practicing in Washington state at St. Joseph's community hospital and the Lummi Nation Tribal Health Clinic. He is also an assistant professor at the University of Washington involved in research and clinical education.
Ms. McDevitt has a wealth of experience in educational policy, business ethics and compliance. A former chair of the Board of Governors of the Florida State University System, Ms. McDevitt currently serves on the boards of St. Leo University, Florida West Coast Public Broadcasting and Healthcare Resource Development, Inc. Former Massachusetts Governor Jane Swift is an experienced board member and executive, with particular expertise in education and technology gained from both her public and private sector positions. Ms. Swift served for 15 years in state government, including as Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation, and State Senator in Massachusetts. More ▸
