David Donahue is Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff of Ultimate Medical Academy where he works closely with the Administration on executing key priorities for the UMA Board of Directors and institution with a specific focus on innovative projects. More ▸

Beth Garland is Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Ultimate Medical Academy where she is responsible for developing and implementing integrated Human Resources strategies that encompass recruiting, engagement, talent management, and HR operations. More ▸
Chief Marketing Officer
Linda Mignone joined Ultimate Medical Academy as Chief Marketing Officer in August 2018 where she is responsible for overseeing UMA’s marketing and communications efforts to elevate UMA’s brand and spur adoption of new programs and technologies that champion student outcomes. More ▸

Alexandra Schaffrath is Chief Strategy Officer at Ultimate Medical Academy where she oversees the strategic planning and business intelligence teams, which support enterprise planning and development, provide operational reporting, drive analytical initiatives and develop predictive models. More ▸

Jeremy Wilson is Chief Information Officer for Ultimate Medical Academy where he is responsible for establishing and executing UMA’s technical vision and roadmap, promoting an environment of collaboration and innovation to advance UMA’s vision and mission. More ▸
Board of Directors
Darlyne Bailey, Ph.D.
A recognized leader in higher education, Dr. Bailey has served as an educator for more than 30 years with more than 24 of those years also as an academic administrator at several prominent institutions, while continuing to make numerous additional professional contributions. As Professor and Dean Emeritus at the Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research and Special Assistant to the President at Bryn Mawr College, Dr. Bailey has previously taught and served as Dean of professional schools at Case Western Reserve University and the University of Minnesota, and as Dean and Vice President of Columbia University’s Teachers College where she also served as Acting President. Stephen Burghardt, Ph.D.
For more than 30 years, Dr. Burghardt has been a professor at the Hunter College (CUNY) School of Social Work, where he has focused on areas such as transformative leadership models and community-based action. A prolific author, researcher and an award-winning professor, Dr. Burghardt has also provided service to numerous editorial boards and professional societies. More ▸
Richard J. Friedman
In addition to a career-long commitment of serving the public interest, Mr. Friedman has extensive experience in nonprofit management. Since 1996, Mr. Friedman has served as managing attorney of Philadelphia Legal Assistance (PLA), a nonprofit corporation that provides free civil legal services to low-income individuals and families in Philadelphia. Christopher Hawk, M.D.
Dr. Hawk is a board-certified family medicine physician practicing in Washington state at St. Joseph's community hospital and the Lummi Nation Tribal Health Clinic. He is also an assistant professor at the University of Washington involved in research and clinical education.
Ms. McDevitt has a wealth of experience in educational policy, business ethics and compliance. A former chair of the Board of Governors of the Florida State University System, Ms. McDevitt currently serves on the boards of St. Leo University, Florida West Coast Public Broadcasting, and Healthcare Resource Development, Inc. Board Vice Chair
Mr. Polin has more than 25 years of background as an attorney, accountant and advisor with broad experience in major transactions, financial matters and corporate governance, especially for healthcare entities and educational providers. Mr. Polin served as a partner for 15 years at the healthcare law firm of Epstein Becker Green. A former Certified Public Accountant, he also previously worked at KPMG LLP. More ▸
