Education Schools (ABHES). The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education
Schools is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a national
accrediting agency for the accreditation of private, postsecondary
institutions in the United States offering predominantly allied health
education programs. The Clearwater location is on file with ABHES as
the main campus of UMA, and the Online location is considered a

Commission for Independent Education
The Commission for Independent Education (CIE) has statutory responsibilities in matters relating to nonpublic, postsecondary educational institutions. In keeping with the Florida Department of Education's goal of producing a seamless educational system, some of these functions include consumer protection, program improvement, institutional policies and administration, data management, and the licensure of independent schools, colleges and universities. Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education
Ultimate Medical Academy's CME division is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Through its CME division, UMA offers CME activities for physicians and healthcare professionals. 1
Florida Board of Dentistry
The UMA Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions program has been approved by the Florida Board of Dentistry to provide expanded duties and radiology courses for the purpose of meeting the formal training requirement as specified in Rule 64B5-16, Florida Administrative Code.

Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs
Ultimate Medical Academy’s programs are approved by the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs State Approving Agency for Veterans’ Education and Training at all campuses.
Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education
The Health Information Management accreditor of Ultimate Medical Academy’s Health Information Management program is the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). Ultimate Medical Academy’s accreditation for the Health Information Management associate degree has been reaffirmed through 2025-2026. Iowa: Ultimate Medical Academy is registered with the Iowa College Student Aid Commission to offer fully online programs to residents of Iowa. As a condition of the registration, UMA must comply with the Iowa Code section 261B.7.
Maryland: Ultimate Medical Academy is registered with the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) to offer fully online programs to residents of Maryland. As a condition of the registration, UMA must comply with the following Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR): 13B.05.01.11; 13B.02.01.21; 13B.05.01.10.
Minnesota: Ultimate Medical Academy is registered with the Minnesota Office of Higher Education pursuant to Minnesota Statutes sections 136A.61 to 136A.71. Registration is not an endorsement of the institution. Credits earned at the institution may not transfer to all other institutions.
