2017 Women’s Conference of Florida Will Feature Two Career Advancement Workshops Led by Ultimate Medical Academy
TAMPA, Fla., October 25, 2017– As a sponsor of the 2017 Women’s Conference of Florida, Ultimate Medical Academy career experts will lead two Career Advancement Workshops for a group of 33 college and high school students from across Florida.
The second annual Women’s Conference of Florida will feature widely-respected thought leaders, exhibits, networking events and panel discussions, designed to empower women of all ages and backgrounds to positively influence the world around them. It will take place on Oct. 26 and Oct. 27 at the Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina, 700 South Florida Avenue, Tampa.

At the Ultimate Medical Academy career workshops, the students will have an opportunity to take advantage of the school’s unique Career Services experts to sharpen their interview skills, résumés, and confidence as they prepare for and pursue the careers of their dreams. They’ll participate in interactive stations to review their résumés, conduct mock interviews, and explore job search strategies.
The career workshop from 11:30 a.m. to 12:25 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26 will focus on interview techniques. The workshop from 12:30 to 1:20 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27 will concentrate on creating a powerful résumé. Both will be led by Brandi Yates, Associate Director of Career Services, and Heidi Carrijo, Associate Manager of Career Services, and feature other Ultimate Medical Academy career readiness experts.
Since 1994, Ultimate Medical Academy, a nonprofit educational institution based in Tampa, has been helping students realize their healthcare career dreams. Close to graduation, specialized faculty members assist students develop a professional résumé (bolstering their transferrable skills) and coach them on speaking to their résumé, including their strengths and experience.
The school’s Career Services Advisors work directly with businesses in Florida and nationwide to assist graduates with professional job searches in their healthcare fields of study. This includes résumé reviews, job search strategy, job opportunities, the application process, interview preparation, reference building, and overall employment pursuit support.
