Innovative Education Expert Lisa McClure Joins Ultimate Medical Academy
TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 15, 2018 — Innovative education leader Lisa McClure joined Ultimate Medical Academy on Monday, Nov. 12 as Associate Provost of Programs and Academic Affairs. She will report to Julene Robinson, Vice Provost of Programs and Academic Affairs.
“We are thrilled to have Lisa join UMA in support of our value to champion student outcomes,” Robinson said. “She brings significant curriculum and instructional capacity, experience, and know-how to UMA’s online programs that now serve 15,000 students and more than 45,000 alumni across the country.”
McClure brings more than 25 years of outcome-based and operational experience to UMA, with deep knowledge of best practices in online education for adult learners. Most recently, she was Senior Director of Academic Operations in the Private Pay business unit at K12, Inc. There she led the development and implementation of several initiatives, including Academic Accountability and Adult High School and Career Programs, Assessments, and Test Prep designed to improve student outcomes and program accountability in private school online and blended education programs.
Prior to K12, McClure served in numerous operational leadership roles for both public and private entities across the country. She also has almost a decade of classroom teaching experience and school leadership experience as Head of School at the Keystone School.
McClure has a Master’s degree in Education in Guidance and Counseling from Carthage College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Concordia College.
