Perseverance Earns Local Woman Ultimate Medical Academy’s True Blue Alum Honor

May 31, 2017, Tampa, Fla. – Ultimate Medical Academy is proud to announce that Jessica Dailey, 34, has been named the nonprofit healthcare institution’s Summer True Blue Alum. Dailey, a resident of Mount Washington, Kentucky, recently earned her Medical Administrative Assistant (MAA) Associate degree online from Ultimate Medical Academy and walked at the school’s Spring Commencement ceremony in Tampa. A video interview of Dailey telling her story is available here.

Dailey decided to attend Ultimate Medical Academy after a year away from work and struggling to make ends meet. Being a high school dropout, she received her GED at age 30 and started attending classes at a local community college. She soon realized the traditional classroom environment did not fit her family’s needs. That’s when she found Ultimate Medical Academy.

The online school allowed Dailey to earn a degree while continuing to take care of her two special needs children at home during the day. Her dedication and perseverance earned her a 4.0 GPA and Alpha Beta Kappa Honor Society recognition at Ultimate Medical Academy.

“I began searching for online schools and that’s when I found Ultimate Medical Academy,” Dailey said. “The choice to enroll and complete my degree has positively impacted my family. I have become an inspiration to my children – they can do anything that they put their mind to.”

In October 2016, Dailey completed her degree and her Ultimate Medical Academy career services advisor sent her to a career fair where she interviewed and earned a job offer on the spot. “My advisor helped me recognize my strengths and coached me on my selling points and what I can bring to the table,” Dailey explained.

As a patient care technician with The Little Clinic in Mount Washington, Dailey is responsible for taking vitals, collecting patient histories, and running the front desk.

Enrolling at Ultimate Medical Academy in 2015 allowed Dailey to follow her dreams and achieve goals she never thought possible. She now intends to pursue a dual bachelor’s and master’s degree in Healthcare Management. She serves her community by volunteering with local organizations.
