Ultimate Medical Academy Graduates Can Continue Their Higher Education at Bellevue University

Tampa, Fla., August 21, 2017 – Ultimate Medical Academy, a nonprofit educational healthcare institution, has reached an agreement with Bellevue University that will enable Ultimate Medical Academy graduates to kick start their advanced education at the nonprofit regionally accredited institution with a main campus in Bellevue, Nebraska.

Founded in 1966, Bellevue University has more than 50,000 graduates and serves nearly 9,000 students annually at campus locations in Nebraska, South Dakota, and Iowa and globally online.

“This partnership with Bellevue University represents yet another valuable program Ultimate Medical Academy offers to support successful student outcomes,” Ultimate Medical Academy President Derek Apanovitch said. “Our graduates now have another opportunity to apply the Associate degree hourly credits they’ve earned toward Bachelor degrees. This advanced education will make them even more qualified for careers in healthcare.

“We’re particularly excited that our Health and Human Services graduates can pursue Bachelor of Science degrees in Child Protection and Juvenile Justice,” he added.

Respected for innovative dedication to adult learners, Bellevue University has agreed to admit qualified Ultimate Medical Academy graduates and staff at reduced tuition and other fees and to transfer student academic credits for up to 60 hours of previous higher education coursework. To be eligible under the agreement, Ultimate Medical Academy participants must have an Associate degree and a certain minimum GPA.

“By partnering with Ultimate Medical Academy, motivated UMA students will have a clear path to continue their education at Bellevue University and attain either Bachelor or Master’s degrees,” said Bellevue University President Dr. Mary Hawkins. “We respect the value of what students learn at the Ultimate Medical Academy and look forward to helping students build on their Associate degrees.”
