Ultimate Medical Academy To Host Career Day in Clearwater

TAMPA, Fla., May 21, 2013 – Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA) will host a career day on June 4th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the school’s Clearwater campus, located on Cleveland Street at South Lincoln Avenue. Career Day was developed as a community outreach event to equip and assist local job seekers through informative workshops and expert advice from UMA’s own employment coaches. This event is open to the public and features on-site recruiters, workshops and campus tours. Job seekers are invited to attend at no charge and should bring resumes. Space is limited, so interested job seekers should register for the event by calling (727) 298-8685.

“We will have our expert team of employment coaches giving instructional seminars on job search techniques,” said Jeffrey Smith, Director of Admissions.

UMA Career Services Manager, Kristie Schweyer, will host informative workshops tailored to the needs of local job seekers. Topics include resume writing, interviewing tips and techniques, where to look for job openings and where to post resumes online. Smith explained that these workshops were developed as a way to give back to the community. “UMA is delighted to be able to offer employment assistance to our local community,” Smith said. “As an educational institution, we feel it is important that job seekers understand the fundamentals of employment searches.”

Helping future healthcare professionals also benefits the community and is one of several charitable initiatives at UMA. The school plans to participate in an upcoming televised fundraiser for All Children’s Hospital and will prioritize raising funds for Susan G. Komen For the Cure® again this year.

UMA’s focus on philanthropy and dedication to both employees and students are just some of the reasons it attracts students and employees from across the country. The company employs individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of the next generation of healthcare professionals, and who share in their mission to equip and empower students to excel.
