UMA Cleans Up the Bay

On June 11, sixteen UMA employees came together in sunglasses and sunscreen to help keep Tampa Bay clean.

UMA volunteers met at DeSoto Park in Tampa and spent hours cleaning trash and debris from the shore. This event celebrated World Oceans Day, which was on June 8 this year. Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful is responsible for coordinating the cleaning effort.

The theme of World Oceans Day this year was “Healthy Oceans, Healthy Planet.” The Ocean Project created this day of national awareness in 2002. At UMA, we were happy to do our part in protecting our precious ocean.
