Medical Billing and Coding Program

August 1, 2016

My story is a long one, so I’ll give the short version. I am the first one of my family to graduate from high school, which was in 2004. I enlisted in the Marine Corps during my senior year. Before I left, my little sister and my best friend left for a boot camp so they could get their GED. They were mistreated there, and I unlike a lot of enlisted, left and went to check on my sister and beat friend. I gave up my career for them. In return, God has blessed me with two beautiful boys that are my whole world. Their father toughened me up, and has shaped me into the strong willed woman I am today. I chose UMA, simply because it was a really good fit to me. I will be able to get my degree in a reasonable amount of time without having to spend a fortune. My degree will help me get a really good job and keep me out of the spotlight so I don’t have to handle the fragile hearts of the public.
