I would like to thank the staff of Ultimate Medical Academy for the support, the guidance, and the knowledge I have rendered during my time in Health and Human Services program. I could not be more grateful for begin a part of the UMA. When I signed up for classes I was very nervous but excited. I chose to go back to school so that I could be a voice for my community, so that I could break generation curses, and inspire the youth, as well as my son. If you apply yourself all things are possible through Christ and faith. Obtaining my associate degree motivated me to keep pushing my way through each semester. I chose not to let any obstacles stand in my way to get my degree. I wanted to be a role model for my son and the youth around me so going to school showed them although we may stumble in life, we use our past to get to our future we persevere. I enjoyed being a student and I learned how to balance my life, work, and school. I became more organized and learned how to manage my time. As a student, I gained knowledge in Psychology, Social Awareness, Community Health. I refreshed myself on topics like HIPPA, Sociology, and Advocating for the rights of the individuals. I have accomplished a major goal for myself. I will be walking the stage this September with my Associate Degree in Health and Human Services. I’m reaching for the stars! My son is my motivator to keep going to the next level. I want him to know that we are not statics and change starts with self; “We strive by Pressing, Pushing, Praising, and Praying.” Thank you UMA for assisting me in achieving my Degree I hope all my friends and family look into the programs to reach their own goals.
