Buzz About You: Local Woman Honored by Medical Academy

March 3, 2017, Tampa, Fla. — Ultimate Medical Academy, a Tampa, Florida-based school that trains students for various careers in the healthcare field, has named Angela Ribble of Big Flats as its winter “True Blue Alum.”

The honor puts a spotlight on outstanding academy alumni who are serving their communities, excelling in their careers and accomplishing other noteworthy achievements.

Ribble enrolled at UMA in 2013, but her education was nearly derailed by a potentially fatal genetic blood disorder. She was forced to take a leave of absence, but was able to complete her education when she recovered and earned her diploma in March of last year.
