Ultimate Medical Academy Clearwater Campus to Host Community Resource Fair and Diploma Program Information Sessions on May 16

TAMPA, Fla., May 11, 2018 — Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA) is hosting a Community Resource Fair for the public on Wednesday, May 16 from 9 a.m. – noon at its Clearwater Campus. UMA will also welcome adults with a high school diploma to attend diploma program information sessions from noon – 1:00 p.m. or 6 – 7 p.m. Events take place at the campus at 1255 Cleveland St. in Clearwater, Florida. Refreshments will be provided.

UMA’s Community Resource Fair will include organizations representing after school/summer care, financial services, housing/shelters, early childcare, transportation, and social services. They include Big Brothers Big Sisters, High Point Neighborhood Family Center, Boys and Girls Club, Kimberly Home Pregnancy Resource Center, YMCA, Fifth Third Bank, and 2-1-1 Tampa Bay, and more.

The information sessions will cover UMA’s Medical Assistant, Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions, Patient Care Technician, and Phlebotomy Technician diploma programs, which can be completed in up to 14 months and the Nursing Assistant diploma program which can be completed in eight weeks. Student Ambassadors and program club members will also be present to discuss their experience at the school.

“We encourage anyone in Tampa Bay to visit UMA and join our students at the Resource Fair to speak directly with representatives from some of the most needed social organizations and services to support our community,” Campus Director Dr. Rebecca Sarlo said. “For those who are interested in pursuing a healthcare career, you can attend an Info Session to learn more about our hands-on curriculum that is designed to help students acquire the clinical and soft skills required for a fulfilling career in healthcare.

Since 1994, UMA’s Clearwater Campus has offered convenient daytime and evening classes and labs, hands-on training, personalized attention, and career readiness services. These include resume and interview preparation assistance, externships, and employment search support.

The Clearwater campus is centrally located and accessible by public transportation with dedicated parking. This campus is part of the national nonprofit accredited healthcare school with online curriculum. UMA overall employs more than 2,000 faculty and staff in the Tampa Bay area.
