Ultimate Medical Academy Sponsors the Egypt Shrine Circus to Support Local Special Needs Children

TAMPA, Fla. May 15, 2013 — Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA) announced its sponsorship of the Egypt Shrine Circus which ran April 18 through April 21 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. UMA was a “Ringmaster Gold Level” sponsor for this event. UMA’s sponsorship meant that 44 local special needs children were able to attend the circus at no cost.  This included transportation to the event and chaperones to escort and provide necessary assistance. Many of these 44 children were given their first opportunity to attend an event like this because of UMA’s sponsorship. “Who doesn’t like the circus,” said Linda Weldon, SVP of Academics and Community Relations. “All children should have this experience and UMA was happy to help make it possible for these children.”

UMA chose to sponsor the Egypt Shrine Circus because of the reputation for philanthropy and community service of the Egypt Shrine chapter of Tampa. As a devoted supporter of the local community, UMA consistently works outside its doors to find unique sponsorship and philanthropic opportunities that exist for the betterment of the Tampa community. The Egypt Shriner’s Circus provided a fun-filled event for UMA faculty and their families together with the children who were supported as part of this sponsorship.

“UMA was more than pleased to sponsor the Egypt Shrine Circus and to help give these special children a fun and enjoyable afternoon,” said Steve Kemler, CEO of Ultimate Medical Academy. “When an opportunity arises to support our local Tampa community we are always eager to get involved. We consistently strive to be an active voice that encourages wellness and philanthropy in our community.”

Overall, the event was a terrific outreach for all involved and UMA plans to continue to support local charitable initiatives to help improve the quality of life of Tampa residents and their families in the future.
