Ultimate Medical Academy Wins Two Prestigious Awards for ‘Alice in Wellnessland’
Tampa, FL — June 6, 2025 — Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA) has achieved a remarkable milestone, earning both a Platinum 2025 Viddy Award and a Silver Telly Award for its groundbreaking video series, “Alice in Wellnessland: Navigating Mental Health in the Workplace.” These honors recognize UMA’s commitment to blending meaningful education with engaging storytelling to redefine workplace wellness as well as providing valuable mental health programs and resources to team members.
The Viddy Awards, one of the most coveted video industry accolades, attracted more than 2,700 entries from across the United States, Canada, and 23 other countries. UMA’s series was awarded Platinum, distinguishing it as an exceptional production in the realm of digital storytelling.
The Telly Awards, an esteemed program established in 1979, celebrates excellence in video and television across all screens, with over 13,000 global entries. UMA’s Silver Award highlights its outstanding achievement in Non-Broadcast content, placing “Alice in Wellnessland” among winners such as Netflix, Adobe, NASA, and National Geographic Society.
The series, which premiered in January 2025, follows Alice as she navigates workplace challenges, tumbling down the proverbial rabbit hole to Wellnessland, where she uncovers vital strategies to enhance productivity and wellbeing. Through four interactive modules, UMA delivers innovative training designed to empower employees and organizations in fostering mental, emotional, and physical wellness.
Dr. Jenna Sage, UMA’s Director of Organizational Wellness and Wellbeing, emphasized the importance of the series saying, "In the landscape of wellness resources available, I was not seeing anything truly engaging as well as educational. As an educational institution, UMA knows how to make content that is both informative and immersive. This series is a perfect example of our award-winning creative team’s outside-the-box thinking that makes a real impact on its audience.”
John Winchester, Sr. Manager of Multimedia Curriculum, echoed this sentiment. Highlighting the team’s dedication to meaningful storytelling, he stated, "We believe in the power of edu-tainment—creating meaning through laughter. Our goal was to make learning about workplace wellness fun, engaging, and effective. We took a complex topic and turned it into an interactive tool thanks to our team’s extraordinary vision and capabilities."
With two major industry awards, UMA reinforces its commitment to cutting-edge educational content, ensuring future projects continue to engage learners, colleagues and partners in fresh and creative ways. While future initiatives may not always take such a fantastical approach, they will always uphold the heart and scope of UMA’s goal to deliver excellence on various topics of education.
