Woodcliff Lake, N.J. to Host Regional Conference November 12th and 13th

Woodcliff Lake, NJ, November 11, 2016 – The PAINWeekEnd Regional Conference will be hosted November 12-13, 2016 at the Hilton Woodcliff Lake in northern New Jersey, offering local frontline clinicians the opportunity to extend their certified continuing medical education (CME) in the field of pain management.

The demand for supplemental training related to pain management has surged dramatically in recent years, with topics ranging from discerning the rapidly evolving regulatory environment to improving skills in areas such as medication risk evaluation and mitigation, pain assessment and diagnosis, and the delivery of individualized multimodal treatment.

“The problem of pain is growing. Current strategies are falling short,” said Michael R. Clark, MD, MPH, MBA of The Johns Hopkins Hospital. “Now is the time to expand our skill sets to create more sophisticated solutions for every one of our patients.”

Following the success of the annual PAINWeek National Conference hosted this past September in Las Vegas, local tri-state area clinicians and allied healthcare practitioners involved in managing acute and chronic pain have access to this important training through the PAINWeekEnd Regional Conference series, provided by Global Education Group, a division of Ultimate Medical Academy.

The two-day program will provide busy clinicians and allied healthcare practitioners with 12 hours of relevant, practical instruction in the management of chronic pain, with course topics such as assessing when acute pain becomes chronic and creating a treatment plan for higher risk patients.

Additionally, two course sessions will address the legalization of marijuana and the effects of medical marijuana on the treatment of central nervous system disorders, including a session entitled “Cannabis vs Cannabinoids: The Politics of Medical Marijuana.”

Participants can receive up to 12.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ or up to 12.0 nursing and pharmacy CE’s as they expand their capabilities in the assessment, diagnosis and management of chronic pain conditions.
