Rolando Russell, MBA, RHIA, CPC, CPAR

As Dean of Programs and Academic Affairs at Ultimate Medical Academy’s Online Campus, Rolando Russell oversees academic programs with a focus on ensuring curriculum meets educational standards and reflects the needs of today’s healthcare industry. He also helps shape policies and services that support student achievement, retention, and well-being while promoting high-quality teaching and learning experiences.

Rolando brings more than 30 years of healthcare industry experience spanning inpatient and outpatient settings and roles including biller, coder, auditor, financial investigator, and healthcare consultant. Since entering post-secondary education in 2001, he has applied that firsthand industry perspective to teaching, curriculum development, program management, and the development of allied health programs.

Throughout his career in healthcare and higher education, Rolando has remained focused on helping others move forward. At UMA, that means creating strong academic programs and helping students bridge the distance between where they are today and the careers and futures they envision.

Rolando holds a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration and a Master of Business Administration, as well as professional healthcare certifications from organizations including the American Academy of Professional Coders and the American Health Information Management Association.
