UMA Partnership Helps Crisis Center Meet Critical EMS Staffing Needs.

After the pandemic, healthcare individuals were very hard to find, especially in emergency medicine, so we created a partnership with Ultimate Medical Academy to have an apprenticeship program where individuals begin working for us while they go to school to become an emergency medical technician. This partnership really helped us out to make sure we were able to staff our ambulances and respond to the needs in the community. Healthcare is a growing industry — the population is not getting any younger, and that need for healthcare, especially in Florida and Tampa, is growing more and more — so this partnership with Ultimate Medical Academy has become an important one for us, and I would definitely recommend it for other businesses if they feel like they could benefit from it.
